For Photo Scanning: See you local photo lab. Most retailers such as Target, RiteAid, Walgreens, and Costco offer this type of service.

For Photo Restoration: See if there is a local iPreserve in your area. Visit www.ipreserve.com for more information!

For VHS and film transfers (to digital): I know that Costco (and likely Sam’s Club) offer these services for $17.95 for 2 tapes, the last I price checked. Also, I have seen packages at places like Best Buy which have “kits” with a bag and instructions where you can purchase it there, then send in to the company for transfers. I believe Costco is the most cost-effective.

We do still offer A/V Event support and Projector/Screen rentals, if part of another project.

Photo Scanning & Restoration

Many families have paper photos that are yellowing or cracked with time. Ironically, it is often the photos in the worst shape that are worth the most to us! TribYoute offers paper photo scanning (digitization). Our service includes Color Restoration and Flaw Removal using a special photo-only scanner equipped with a technology called “Digital ICE”, which removes dust and scratches using a hardware algorithm (a laser) that is very accurate. We bring the photos into professional, industry-standard Adobe Photoshop CS4, where software finishes the job of color correction.

That may be too much technical jargon for you, but here’s the result in plain English: We can take tarnished, yellowed, cracked photos and restore them to their original color and beauty (and sometimes, even better!)

VHS to DVD Conversions

Many more families have old VHS tapes that contain precious family memories. Perhaps footage of vacations you took as a family. Perhaps your children growing up. For whatever reason, you have kept those old tapes and perhaps have not looked at them for years.

Well, we thought you should know something that’s pretty important: Those tapes are breaking down even while they are sitting on your shelf. And one day, you will put them in your VHS machine and they simply won’t play. Why? Because the tape is magnetic, and it wears out over time, even if it isn’t being used. Unfortunately, too many families are unaware of this and their memories are gone when they finally try to relive them. Its a very sad scenario and we hate to tell people the bad news.

There is good news, however! You can convert your VHS tapes to DVD media and they will last much longer…up to 100 years or longer on our Archival-grade DVD’s.

We’ll be right up front and let you know that places like Costco are now offering VHS to DVD transfers. But if you choose TribYoute, you’ll get a custom result…your VHS tape will be authored into a DVD menu, rather just stuck on a DVD as a “data file” to be read on a computer. An authored DVD allows you to play it in a DVD player just as you would your favorite movies! Additionally, we custom-design and print labels for each of your DVD’s, so they won’t have just cheesy Costco writing on them…they’ll actually look like professional movies.

You’ll get this, along with knowing that your VHS tapes are less likely to get lost or misplaced, for just a few dollars more. We think it’s worth it and we hope you do too.

Slide & Music Conversions

We have the ability to convert slides and negatives to digital photos, as well as analog music (on tapes) to either MP3 files burned on a data CD (for use on computers and iPods), or burned to a music CD that you can play in a CD player.

Projector Rentals & Event A/V Support

We currently offer limited bookings of projector rentals and onsite A/V support during your event. Our rate for the onsite support is $100/hr with a minimum of 3 hours, which includes the projector rental. Our projector rentals start at $299 for a Fri-Sun weekend. Please call us to discuss your event and needs, and to determine availability.

Custom Audio

We can alter music for you to use in your own video project, if you are unfamiliar with audio editing tools. We can loop lyrics, remove verses, and perform other audio magic. Call for more details.
